When a customer wants to return a product or service, you handle it via the return process. The system creates a credit note and settles the amount automatically.
Processing a return
- Open the original order via Orders → [order number].
- Click Create return in the action menu on the right.
- Select which products are being returned and adjust the quantity if necessary.
- Enter the reason for the return (required field for administrative purposes).
- Click Confirm return. The system creates a credit note with a negative amount.
- The credit note is automatically offset against the customer's outstanding invoice, or paid out if there is no outstanding balance.
The original order will display a Partially returned or Fully returned badge depending on the situation. The full return history can be found on the order detail page.
