Creating a new bot takes less than five minutes. You give the bot a name, choose the language and set a base instruction that defines the tone and focus.
Creating a bot step by step
- Go to AI Assistant in the menu and click New bot.
- Enter a name for the bot (e.g. "Helpdesk Bot" or "Sales Bot"). This name is visible in the chat widget.
- Choose the primary language of the bot. The bot can also respond in other languages if the knowledge base has content for them.
- Write a system instruction: a short description of the bot's role and tone (e.g. "You are a friendly customer service agent for [company name]. Answer questions based on the knowledge base.").
- Choose the desired language model. The default model is suitable for most use cases.
- Click Create bot. The bot is now active and ready to be linked to a knowledge base.
Once created, you can thoroughly test the bot via the built-in test chat before placing it on your website.
