Create a new bot

Create a new AI bot in just a few steps with a name, language and personality. The bot is active immediately after saving and ready to be linked to a knowledge base.

Creating a new bot takes less than five minutes. You give the bot a name, choose the language and set a base instruction that defines the tone and focus.

Creating a bot step by step

  1. Go to AI Assistant in the menu and click New bot.
  2. Enter a name for the bot (e.g. "Helpdesk Bot" or "Sales Bot"). This name is visible in the chat widget.
  3. Choose the primary language of the bot. The bot can also respond in other languages if the knowledge base has content for them.
  4. Write a system instruction: a short description of the bot's role and tone (e.g. "You are a friendly customer service agent for [company name]. Answer questions based on the knowledge base.").
  5. Choose the desired language model. The default model is suitable for most use cases.
  6. Click Create bot. The bot is now active and ready to be linked to a knowledge base.

Once created, you can thoroughly test the bot via the built-in test chat before placing it on your website.
