Link a knowledge base to your bot

Link a knowledge base to your bot so the AI bases its answers on your own content. Add documents, URLs or Q&A pairs as a knowledge source for the bot.

← ← Back to knowledge base

A bot without a knowledge base relies only on its base knowledge. By linking a knowledge base you ensure the bot delivers specific, accurate answers about your products, services and procedures.

Linking a knowledge base to a bot

  1. Open the bot settings via AI Assistant → [bot name] → Knowledge base.
  2. Click Add knowledge source and choose the type: URL, document (PDF/Word) or manual Q&A.
  3. Enter the URL or upload the document. The system indexes the content automatically (this may take a few minutes).
  4. Repeat for all relevant sources. There is no limit on the number of sources.
  5. Click Start indexing. The bot is ready to use once the status shows Indexed.

Keeping the knowledge base up to date

Whenever you update knowledge base content, you need to re-index the bot. To do this, click Re-index in the bot's knowledge base settings. This ensures the bot always uses the most current information.
