Archive or delete a customer

Archive a customer to remove them from the active list without losing historical data. Permanent deletion is also available but cannot be undone.

When a customer is no longer active, you can choose between archiving (safe, reversible) and permanently deleting (irreversible). Archiving is the recommended option.

Archiving a customer

  1. Look up the customer in the overview or via the search function.
  2. Click the menu icon (three dots) next to the customer and choose Archive.
  3. Confirm the action in the confirmation dialog.
  4. The customer disappears from the active list but remains visible when you set the filter to Archived.

Permanently deleting a customer

  1. Open the customer's detail page.
  2. Click Delete customer (red button) at the bottom.
  3. For confirmation, type the customer's email address into the confirmation field.
  4. Click Delete permanently. This action cannot be undone.

Linked orders and invoices are also removed when a customer is permanently deleted. Archiving preserves all historical data and is therefore the preferred option.
